About Us
We exist to foster hope. We exist to foster help.
Hope Through Help is a nonprofit organization centered around mental health. We like to say that we foster hope- in that we share stories of those who have been impacted by mental health difficulties and how they've coped or what assistance worked for them. We foster help in a couple of different ways. Not only do we share resources for mental health difficulties throughout the country, but we also have in-person programming.
Our in-person programming is comprised of two different factors- workshops and demonstrations. Both are catered toward all ages, but serve different purposes. Our workshops are purely for release and relaxation purposes. They serve as an opportunity to meet like-minded people and a potential to make new friends who have similar experiences. Our demonstrations are more educational and done with the intent to learn about mental health, different types of mental health, how to spot if someone (including yourself) could benefit from help, and learning about available assistance programs for your area.
We believe that, through the right help, there's always hope.
There's so much more to come with Hope Through Help and we're excited to have you on this ride with us.
There's always help. There's always hope.
Hi! I'm Kristin.
TW: abuse, loss, self harm, homelessness
Since childhood, I've seen abuse in many forms including physical, sexual, and emotional. In addition, I've also come face-to-face with death, homelessness, a close family member addicted to drugs, and more. All of this lead to anxiety, depression, feeling alone, feeling hopeless, and ultimately- an attempt to end my own life.
Had I known about the resources available or had just had a little bit of hope- I wouldn't have made that attempt. I created Hope Through Help as a way to assist others (of all ages) who are experiencing mental health difficulties. I don't want anyone to feel like I used to.
No matter what you're going through or feeling, there's help.
